Jonathan Herbert, a portfolio manager with Zadig Asset Management, has taken his long/short equity hedge fund and started Cologny Advisors, a new London-based firm. According to Financial News, Jonathan Herbert, who managed his Camox hedge fund to peer-leading results in three of the last four years, is now leading a team of his own people under the Cologny Advisors banner seeking seed funding from investors and family offices to grow the hedge fund’s assets.

Jonathan Herbert’s Camox hedge fund lost some ground in 2011 due to his optimistic outlook on the European crisis. However, he believes his forecast of a stronger Euro will eventually bear fruit, and the 29.7 percent year-to-date gain in his Camox hedge fund provides some credence to his forecast.
