Robert Bishop’s Impala Asset Management launches an alternative energy fund

Impala Asset Management has launched a new hedge fund that invests in the alternative energy sector using a long/short equity fund. Impala’s new fund is managed by Robert Bishop and Jennifer Burke.

Robert Bishop founded Impala, which now manages more than $3.5 billion, in 2003. Prior to Impala, Mr. Bishop held senior investment positions at several prominent hedge funds, including Soros Fund Management (where he was CIO) and Maverick Capital (where he was Principal), as well as Mark Kingdon’s Kingdon Capital Management and Julian Robertson’s Tiger Management.
