Paulson takes a $165 million Hit from Barclays Short

Paulson & Co revealed in a regulatory filing that it had closed out of a short position it had been holding in Barclays plc. According to the Financial Times, the bet cost John Paulson’s venerable hedge fund firm approximately $165 million.
