Makoto Haga, a prominent hedge fund manager with experience at Nomura Holdings and Sumimoto Trust & Banking Co., is starting an asset management firm. Wing Asset Management Co. will follow a strategy focusing on undervalued securities among 800 large Japanese companies. The firm has already lined up the possibility of managing an overseas fund.
