Tiger Management Corp, the hedge fund management and seeding firm founded by Julian Robertson in 1980 that closed to outside investors in March 2000, will begin accepting investments into its Tiger Accelerator Fund. According to CNBC, the Tiger Accelerator Fund will invest its capital into six pre-selected Tiger Management-seeded hedge funds, which also commonly referred to as “Tiger Seeds.”

The Tiger Accelerator fund seeks to raise $450 million by the end of the summer, and aims to invest $100 million each into Tiger Veda Management, Cascabel, and Long Oar Global, and $50 million each into Benjamin Gambill’s Tiger Eye Capital, Tiger Ratan, and the Teewinot Fund.

Tiger Veda, Teewinot, and Tiger Ratan are all generalist funds. Long Oar focuses on cyclicals and industrials; Tiger Eye focuses on natural resources, financials, and industrials; Cascabel focuses on tech, financials, telecom, and consumer goods.
