With his first seeding of Clearline Capital, Henry Swieca is attempting to follow the footsteps of Julian Robertson, the founder of Tiger Management Corp, by launching his own version of Tiger Cubs. According to FINalternatives, Swieca Seedling will be Henry Swieca’s vehicle for seeding former protégés, such as Marc Majzner’s Clearline Capital which was funded with $50 million out of his family office, Swieca’s Talpion Fund Management.

Clearline Capital was a hedge fund industry leader in 2012 with a 26 percent gain. Henry Swieca, former co-founder of Highbridge Capital Management, brings the kind of top tier pedigree that Julian Robertson had in creating dozens of successful Tiger Cub hedge funds.
