Dymon Asia Capital partners with SAC Capital veteran Carl Vine to launch Port Meadow Hedge Fund

Dymon Asia Capital Pte, one of the biggest hedge funds in Asia, is branching out with a new global equity hedge fund to be run by former SAC Capital Advisors portfolio manager, Carl Vine.

As reported by SFGate.com, the Port Meadow fund will be based in the UK. Starting with $150 million invested by Dymon Asia Capital Pte and the Port Meadow team, the long/short hedge fund will seek to raise $500 million initially.

Dymon Asia Capital Pte, headed by Jay Luo, also a former SAC Capital Advisors executive, will provide non-investment services while Port Meadon, headed by Chief Investment Officer, Carl Vine, will manage investments.
