Driss Ben-Brahim will manage GLG Partner’s newest fund

Driss Ben-Brahim, a fund manager at alternative investment firm GLG Partners, has been selected to run GLG’s newest venture, a UCITS III version of GLG’s $250 million Atlas Macro Fund. According to the Financial Times, Mr. Ben-Brahim has managed the Atlas Macro Fund alongside GLG’s chief investment strategist Jamil Baz since March of 2009.

This newest UCITS vehicle will be the eighth in GLG’s series of “Newcits” funds. Mr. Ben-Brahim joined GLG Partners in 2008 after working as a high-profile trader at Goldman Sachs.
