Concourse Capital Partners raises nearly $40 million

Atlanta-based hedge fund Concourse Capital Partners LP has sold pooled investment fund interests to 41 investors and raised $38.41 million, as disclosed in a recent SEC filing.
According to Atlanta’s CityBizList, Concourse Capital’s SEC filing revealed that the firm’s principals include Greg P. Deese of Perimeter Capital Management, and Joseph L. Mathias IV, formely of GMT Capital Corp.

Before he moved to Perimeter in 2006, Deese oversaw accounting, tax, risk, securities lending and brokerage relationships as the Controller of GMT Capital. Perimeter Capital managed funds of $1.5 billion as of September 30, 2010.
