Citadel veteran Ravi Mattu joins PIMCO

Ravi Mattu, the former head of research and strategy for Ken Griffin’s Citadel Securities, has joined Pacific Investment Management Co. (PIMCO) as a managing director in charge of analytics. PIMCO manages $1.24 trillion in assets, including over $200 billion in the PIMCO Total Return fund, which is the world’s largest mutual fund.

Mr. Mattu started his job yesterday, according to an article from Bloomberg. Mohamed El-Erian and Bill Gross, PIMCO’s co-chief investment officers, expect Ravi to bolster the analytical solutions available for PIMCO’s clients.
