Citadel Investment Group recruits Jamil Nazarali and Matt Cushman to launch Quantitative Trading Business

Citadel Investment Group, a hedge fund founded by Chief Executive Officer Ken Griffin, has hired former Knight Capital Group Inc. pair Jamil Nazarali and Matt Cushman in an effort to implement a quantitative trading business at Citadel Investment Group.

According to an article on Bloomberg, Nazarali and Cushman will start work at Citadel in September. Their group will work with a range of strategies and instruments, including equities and currencies, as well as high-frequency trading. Mr. Nazarali and Mr. Cushman left their positions at Knight Capital Group Inc. as Senior Managing Director of electronic trading and Managing Director, respectively, in February.
