Bob Treue’s Barnegat Fund up 462.41% since Launch

Barnegat Fund Management Inc, a Hoboken-based Hedge Fund Manager, has revealed that its flagship Barnegat Fund was up +11.13% in 2011, outperforming Global Bonds (+7.22%), US Bonds (+9.98%) and the S&P 500 (-0.01%). Barnegat’s 2011 performance brings the fund’s overall performance since inception to +462.41%. The Fixed-Income, Relative-Value focused hedge fund was launched in 2001.

The Barnegat Fund was a newsmaker for its 2009 annual performance, a year duting which the hedge fund rose by 132%, as compared to the industry 2009 average of 19%.

According to the company’s press release, “Barnegat focuses on interest-rate anomalies in the large, liquid markets of North America, Europe and the Pacific Rim. It captures these mispricings via government bonds, interest-rate swaps and futures.”
