With an eye towards joining the elites of European hedge funds and eventually taking the firm public, the CEO of Armajaro Asset Management, Harry Morley, revealed his plans to expand beyond commodities and launch five to nine more hedge funds with a major focus on equities.

According to Reuters, Armajaro Asset Management, a unit of Armajaro Holdings, has already embarked upon its gradual strategy of adding two to three new funds a year with its hiring of two portfolio managers from TT International, Peter Walters and Ben Steele. While Armajaro Asset Management has been considered a solid commodities fund that has earned the loyalty of many large pension and sovereign funds, it sees diversification into equities as an avenue for growing assets under management and securing a place among the top European funds.
