Nelson Saiers has been rewarded by Alphabet Management LLC for his contribution to the hedge fund’s strong performance with a promotion to full partner and a role as co-managing member. As reported by Bloomberg, Nelson Saiers was cited by founder, Jason Adler, as a leader in the positive results Alphabet Management LLC has achieved over the last couple of years.

The $565 million volatility hedge fund has returned 9 percent YTD through December 2012, and has gained 27 percent since July 2010 when Nelson Sairs took over as chief investment officer. Once his promotion is effective in April 2013, Alphabet Management LLC will officially change its name to Saiers Capital LLC. However, there will be no change for the firm’s investment funds, Alphabet Partners LP and Alphabet Offshore Ltd.
