5:15 Capital gets $50 million from Man Group

5:15 Capital Management announced that, Man Group plc, one of the largest hedge fund managers, has invested $50 million in the firm. 5:15 Capital is a hedge fund manager that was founded earlier this year by former Brevan-Howard traders Morris Sachs, E.G. Fisher, and Rob Wahl. According to Reuters, the Man Group portfolio, Man RMF Global Emerging Managers strategy, will take a portion of the revenue from 5:15 Capital as part of the arrangement. Hans Hurschler, head of fund ventures at Man noted that a lot of firms have pulled out of the type of arbitrage that 5:15 focuses on due to the crisis and that with the amount of government bonds issued lately, the opportunities for 5:15 is huge.
